Paint Scheme
You can design your Great Lakes biplane paint scheme by using the drawings and colors below. You can print out the two views on your computer printer in the pdf file format and use artists' color markers, pens and pencils using the color swatches as a guide. Start with a base color of white. Have fun designing your color schemes.

After downloading the profile drawing, set your printer to landscape mode and enlarge 300% and print. To print out the top/bottom drawing, set your printer to portrait mode and enlarge 300%. You can find these settings in your printer page setup.
Great Lakes Biplane Suggested Colors:
We suggest using Prismacolor Premiere Colored Pencils and Markers. Visit their Web site for more information about their products. The PC numbers on the chart below are Prismacolor pencil numbers; the PM numbers are the markers. Other art tools needed are a straight-edge and curves. We suggest using Epson ink jet printer "Presentation Paper - Matte." This paper works well with colored pencils and markers. Colors will vary between your color monitor and artwork.
